Afi has a technology team that specializes in the use of the most popular industry standards, executing projects based on J2EE application servers (BEA Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, OAS, …) and. NET, using different architectures (client-server, 3-tier web applications, Smart Clients, SOA, ..), operating systems (Unix – AIX, Linux, Windows, Symbian OS and Pocket PC) and managers of databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), always applying rigorous and flexible method to control the entire life cycle of their products.
Since the establishment in 1995, the first financial information portal in Spain, through Infoway, Afi has always adopted the latest available standards, such as content syndication based on XML since 1999 and use of content annotation using semantic tools and ontologies (RDF) in 2003. In addition to use formats and consolidated patterns (XML, SOAP, WSDL, RDF, Struts, …), working on the definition and study of the standards that will or are in the process of definition (BPEL4WS, WSMO, WSML, OWL-S and WS-CDL, etc.).
