Today’s products and services are so similar the difference between a successful business is one that can not be in the details.
One of those details are the clothes that one should dress when doing business since these phrases: “You are what you dress ‘or’ treat you like you are dressed” are generally true.
Indeed, as highlighted in an interesting article on The Wall Street Journal, one must be careful when choosing clothing to use when doing business.
Dress suit or dress with a jacket and tie may be appropriate for example if you are in the world of finance or a lawyer but not if you are in another area of business.
As says the Wall Street Journal the jacket and tie is interpreted as something classic and traditional as you would be wrong to dress well if you sell computers where innovation is the key to success.
